On my way to Switzerland, I had a day layover in Madrid, Spain. Being I needed to stay the night , I stayed at hotel Maydrit Airport as my accommodation for the evening.

I got to Madrid really early in the morning, so after settling in, I booked an excursion to go to Madrid’s Royal Palace.

After making it to the Palace, I met with my tour guide. I didn’t know what to expect once inside. After making it inside the Palace, I was amazed by the artwork displayed on the ceilings and statues throughout the Palace. We were allowed to go into specific rooms but weren’t allowed to take pictures in all of them. Each room held different meaning and all designed differently in color and furniture.

This Palace was good to see and I think it’s worth the time & money if your ever in Madrid. Try not to bring nothing more than a handbag, because backpacks and large purses are not permitted inside the Palace. There was free lockers to leave your larger bags, which I had to do for my book bag. Just a heads up, so if you can travel light do so.
