While in Switzerland, one of my excursions I chose to do was Black Forest, Lake Titisee & Rhine Falls. After visiting Rhine Falls, second part of the excursion, took us over the border into Germany to visit the Black Forest & Lake Titisee. Covering 2300 miles bordering France in the west & Switzerland in the south, Black Forest was an amazing place to visit. Lake Titisee outside of the Black Forest was a nice little town that gave this part of Germany a natural historical look.

While at Lake Titisee, I never knew how important cuckoo clocks were to the German people until I saw a building that had a huge cuckoo clock built into the side of it. On my journey through Lake Titisee, I saw an entrance for the Black Forest. Upon entering the Black Forest, I understood how it got its name. Lighting in the Black Forest was definitely minimum. Being the middle of the day, you will think the sun was setting because how pitch lighting was. This part of the excursion was definitely worth it and a nice way to visit another country for the day.

If you pick this excursion, don’t forget your passport as it will be checked once boarding the bus before leaving.
